Renaissance

I can call this bittersweet
Somewhat lacking, incomplete
Truthful, foolish, all the rest
Not entirely the best
However, it’s real nice
To have valuable advice
Close to love, but never so
Friendship maybe, long ago
Hurtful and somewhat obscene
Change the subject, change the scene
Words are found obsolete
Thoughts are faulty, just a bit
All I care for is you,
Maybe lies or maybe true
It just follows around
On and on, without sound
I wish we would just
Acknowledge
All the power of
Our knowledge
And the meaning of such "not love"
Of which we can’t get enough
